My Focused PLN

Of the four choices for a PLN Community, I chose the “Microsoft Educators Community”.  I did so because our school district has subscribed to the Microsoft Suite of Tools.  So far, I ha ve learned how to use TEAMS, Power Point Online, I’ve created a few SWAYS, and I haveworked my way around OneNote and One Drive.  Currently, I am registered for the “Summer School 2019” program to improve my tech skills and further my learning.

Also, I already belong to the ISTE Professional Learning Network, but I don’t have a paid membership…it’s quite costly.  Since our district has privacy concerns using Google Tools (their servers are not in Canada), we are not encouraged to use them with students.  If I can, when I am up to speed on the Microsoft Suite, I would like to work on gaining expertise through the Apple Educators Network. 

Each network is a valuable resource and full of ideas, techniques and projects to try.  For now, I am going to focus on the “Microsoft Educators Community”.
