How
Augmented Reality could be used as a meaningful educational tool
These are some of the ways that AR can be used in education:
- provides a visual 3 dimensional representation of an object
or subject material
- can turn 2 dimensional
objects of which the inside workings
are difficult
to see into working see-through 3D models
- can enable a working
3D view of a model or shape
- makes it easier to grasp an abstract or difficult concept
- provides a visual 3 dimensional representation of an object
or subject material
- can give students a better visual understanding
- it’s just a lot of fun!
I can see using
this a lot for and in collaboration time, while co-teaching with my
colleagues. Check out examples of AR in Education:
1) Science: AR 3D model of the Solar System:
2) Biology: AR 3D model of the Beating Heart:
3) Mathematics: AR 3D Shapes in Geometry:
4) Chemistry – understanding molecules using 3D
models (also Geometry shapes)

Here is a really short video
on how you can easily do it:
I had to make it short
as the first few videos were too long and too large to load. But it does
give you the idea of how uncomplicated AR and the Merge Cube is to use.
